The National Engineering Laboratory is a national-level major scientific and technological innovation platform established by the country in response to the demand for technological progress around major strategic tasks and key projects. The National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Algorithms and Analysis Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory") mainly addresses practical issues such as the weakness of basic algorithms for big data analysis and processing in China, the lack of core algorithms for big data, and the low efficiency of big data application product development. It conducts research and engineering development on technologies such as heterogeneous data preprocessing, basic computing methods for big data, core algorithms for big data analysis and processing, and evaluation of big data algorithms, providing substantial technical support for the advancement of big data algorithms and analysis technology and industrial development.
In the laboratory, the Joint Research Institute, as the specific executing unit, is fully responsible for the construction of the Power Big Data Demonstration Application Center, mainly supported by the State Grid Data Center. It fully utilizes the innovative research and development of basic algorithms and core algorithms for big data, combined with the characteristics of power big data, to conduct engineering application verification, forming a library of API functions for power big data application algorithms. Based on this, it launches a power big data analysis and public service system, providing decision-making support for governments and enterprises, offering higher quality services to enterprises and household users, and ultimately making significant contributions to the successful demonstration of big data applications, radiating and driving other industries.
